Algebra System of Linear Mystery
As a few of you know, I am a huge Mario and Luigi fan! Mario Kart and Super Mario Bros are two of my favorite games. I have yet to beat Bowser in the eighth castle to save the princess, not from a lack of effort or hours trying over the years (I am just missing the skill). But, I have successfully gotten gold rings in almost all the courses but crazy Rainbow Road on Mario Kart. During the last week, I have spent a few minutes/hours practicing again.
This morning, I spent a good deal of time trying to figure out what happened to Yoshi! I would love your help! Below, you will see a link to solving systems of linear - most of them are using substitution or elimination. Refer to chapter 7 in your algebra book! Once you have successfully solved the mystery in the four attempts you are allowed, send me a screenshot and there will be a prize for you when we return to school.
A few hints to help you work in the Desmos program:
Good luck - I look forward to seeing who was able to solve the mystery of Yoshi. Desmos link with student classroom code.
Good luck detectives...let's find out who did this to Yoshi!

A few hints to help you work in the Desmos program:
- When you are submitting your answers, you need to include the parentheses on the left then x-coordinate number followed by a comma (,) the Y coordinate number followed by the right parenthesis.
- Do not go past screen 15 until you have solved all of the math problems correctly you need all of the clues.
- Screen 16 is for your use to connect clues using lines or cross things out. I personally found using a notebook worked well.
- Screen 17 you may drag things around till they match up - for example, if you know a certain person was in a certain location, drag the two pictures together and they will stack.
- Before you head to screen 18, make sure you have every card in a stack whether it is the weapon, location or person or a group of non-answers (meaning they don’t belong or fit).
Good luck - I look forward to seeing who was able to solve the mystery of Yoshi. Desmos link with student classroom code.
